Day 43 - Dahlak: Just a Joke...

*I apologize to all Christians in advance

A white man woke up one morning
overcome with the guilt of his ancestors,
the slave masters who had raped and ravaged the black race
without so much as an apology
for such a shameful past.

he ran into the street to find the nearest black man and asked him,
"What can I do to make up for the damage my people have caused your people?"

The black man,
who had been waiting his whole life for some moment like this,
knew exactly what to tell him.

The black man pulled out a painting of dark-skinned caveman,
and said, "hang this in your house."

The white man said, "I don't understand."

The black man responded, "So that you will always remember that the original man IS a BLACK MAN."

The black man then pulled out a painting of a dark-skinned long-haired angelic looking man and said, "hang this beside it."

The white man said, "Sorry, but I don't understand this either."

The black man responded, "So that you will always remember that Jesus IS a BLACK MAN."

The black man then pulled out a painting of a white virgin Mary and said, "And finally, hang this beside that."

The white man was utterly confused.

"Now I really don't get it," he said. "This is a picture of a WHITE WOMAN!"

The black man smiled and responded, "Because I want you to remember that even GOD is a BLACK MAN!"

ba-doom-bum-pish!
