Day 39 - Dahlak: Only Obama Could Make Me Agree With 50 Cent.

Watch BOTH:

It kinda felt like when Kanye said "George Bush doesn't care about black people"...
Maybe that's the reason why I bought Ye's album over 50's...

That's not true..I just don't like 50.

But I know a change is coming when 50 cent and I are somewhat ideologically aligned.

Only the potential of a black president could bring this about.

Only the potential of a black president being assassinated could bring this about.

Things I agree with 50 Cent on:

1. America may not be ready for black president.
A president is one of the most criticized figures in the world. Even the liberalist of white folks blurt out some "borderline-racist-I'm-gonna-let-that-slide-cuz-you-don't-know-you're-racist" commentary every once in a while. In casual conversation. Let Obama get elected. Some important white person is gonna fuck up and say something like, "He's been a bit a lazy since taking office...". And it will be ON. The NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the whole Rainbow Coalition will be outside of whatever building marching in tiny circles with picket signs, crying that "the black race is tired of being dismissed as lazy negroes! You wasn't saying that when of ancestors built this whole country. etc. etc."

2. They MIGHT kill him.
It's an honest concern. Whenever expressing my ambivalent views on Obama, I've yet to meet a person who doesn't respond "because they gon' kill him". And when we say "they", we all know who we talking about. Not YOU. The privileged white liberals who would love to cast away their guilt with a cast of vote.
Don't try to prove anything to us. We gon' think you're racist regardless. But "they" - you know, Bubba and them - "they" may shame you. May aim a rifle in the name of all white Americans, to liberate you from the tyranny of this Black Muslim Terrorist president.

Try to win a "not-all-white-people-are-racist" argument after that.

3. People like Bill O'Reilly scare us the most.
The assured all-american patriot who is not afraid to tell the (white)truth about black people in this politically correct, racially sensitive social climate that America has become. One who seeks to restore the moral fiber of (racist, oppressive, white supremacist, slaveholding)America. Who sees black culture as a threat to the vulnerable (white)youth of this country and disregards any notion that (a shameful, recent) history is the cause of the condition of black people today. Yup. Sounds like (an assassin)O'Reilly to me.
