Day 30: Adriel

which roach was it that i left still smoking that got
you scurrying under rugs when you see me?
i could've swore that we were hangin like chip and dale
but something must've chipped from the old block crooked
cuz now your branches don't lean toward me
and your shade's always over me
and your fruits stay sour near me but
i guess that's why i did that 10 day fast in the first place
because when life gives you lemons you make lemonade
but when life gives you demons
take a sip of that and
see how it burns lips when we start to speak
i've got no problem with silence
i've said enough in the past 6 years to last me the next day at least
and if you really believe that lungs smoke where fire breathes
then i best hope you have no knights at your roundtable
i don't feel like battling
and i know that you hate how your thighs look in armor
so lets just stop with all the fables
and see each other like we have my whole life

i came into this world after experiencing yours
so how do you expect me to not crave to spark one and reminisce

I dig the puns. It's the same thing that made the "Rendition of a Basketball Player..." bit so fun, and the same thing that makes Ill-Literacy intros so fun as well.
